Feast Day a Success

Students and staff at Mercy Regional College celebrated Mercy Feast Day on Wednesday, May 24.
As the school celebrates 50 years, the day included a Mass, an Alumni guest speakers panel and a Diversity Dash colour run in the afternoon, which saw a group of students and staff run an obstacle course around the oval whilst being sprayed with colour.
Principal Sharon Gillett notes the significance of this celebration:
“We celebrated a remarkable milestone on Wednesday - the 50th anniversary of secondary education at Mercy Regional College. We honoured and recognised the dedication, resilience and spirit of all those who have contributed to the establishment and sustenance of our school.
“It was fantastic to welcome many past principals, parish priests and alumni to celebrate with us and our students enjoyed a wonderful day filled with activities.”
The College will continue to celebrate its 50th anniversary later in the year, with a Jubilee Day planned for Saturday, November 25. Tickets for the day activities and dinner are available at www.trybooking.com/CHKBB
