Toby Fleming Receives Scholarship

Toby Fleming has become one of only seven recipients of the Gardiner Dairy Foundation Scholarship for students commencing full time study in 2021 in a field which will benefit dairy communities. Toby will be studying a Bachelor of Agriculture with a major in Technology at the University of New England in Armidale, New South Wales.
At the beginning of Year 12, Toby considered several career options, one of which was becoming an architect. He discovered a passion for dairy farming during the first COVID-19 lockdown, when he had more time to help his parents with chores at the family dairy farm in Bookaar. Toby saw the daily operations of the farm from a new angle and was intrigued by the conversations with people who visited his parents.
Toby is excited to major in technology and hopes to introduce new approaches and innovations to the dairy farming industry in the future. He commences his university studies on 1 March and we look forward to hearing all about his experiences and achievements.
